The British Museum are stocking our 1066 Collection

Rye Pottery is being stocked at the British Museum's shop while the Bayeux Tapestry is in the UK this shows the Rye Pottery backstamp alongside the British Museum's logo

We’re very pleased to say the six figures from our Battle of Hastings series have been hand-picked by the British Museum’s Luxury Buyer for the Bayeux Tapestry shop.

It’s a great feather in our cap and a fresh boost to the heirloom status of all our work. And hopefully it will introduce a whole new generation of customers to the quirky outfit that is Rye Pottery, where we’ve been medieval nerds for over 40 years!

And talking of medieval street cred, the lead curator of the exhibition, Professor Michael Lewis, has even chosen one, opting for a Lady Edith Talk! (And we’re not talking out of turn because he put it on Instagram.)

Anyway if you’d like to see the whole collection you can see tons of images here, including our latest addition and if you’d like to buy one, just email us at sales@ryepottery.co.uk or give us a ring on +44 (01)1797 223038.
