The Oxford Cleric
An Oxford Cleric, his horse was thinner than a rake,
And he ws not too fat, I undertake,
But had a hollow look, a sober stare;
The thread upon his overcoat was bare.
One of our personal favourites probably because of his very thin horse. The Oxford Cleric must surely be up to the minute as a debt-ridden student with all his money needed to pay for his course and his books.
Painted in a similar style to the lower clerical orders to differentiate him, we have used our soft Sherwood green for his main robe with a little earthy brown for his hood.
