Rye Pottery

A traditional Sussex Wedding Gift, our quirky ceramic Sussex Pigs have been hand-made & hand painted here in Rye, England since the 1800s. These pigs involve over 12 expert hand processes, including free-hand brush work to create their surface decoration. This 12 minute short is a gentle & thoughtfully constructed piece explaining our pigs’ extraordinary story as a traditional gift for weddings & anniversaries and reveals exactly how these unusual pottery drinking vessels are made.
