We’ve produced so many bespoke personalised ceramic pieces over the years it’s hard to imagine what our talented team haven’t managed to recreate.

These are detailed hand-made pieces, with all lettering and images created by our talented designers and decorators using freehand brush work. There’s nothing digital going on here – the skills involved are 100 per cent human!

Click on the image to the left and you can then scroll through just a taste of some of the pieces we’ve produced for a host of special occasions over the years. The most important thing we need from our customers is the lettering and an image you’d like us to work from. We’ll produce a draft digital design as a guide to the final piece and then it’s onto the trickier side of actually painting the actual pieces. These special bespoke commissions are painted “live” onto the plate so slight changes to the draft are guaranteed to happen.

Our one-off designs are produced in a single colour, most often our soft Cobalt Blue, but also our versatile black, to pull everyting together cleanly and ensure the look and feel of Rye Pottery is ever present. There are also boring technical reasons that we won’t go into. We do reserve the right to decline a commission if we don’t feel it will suit our technique or house style.

Prices below are for our standard designs, these bespoke designs incur an additional £85 design fee, depending on complexity.

Plates: Approx Diameter  10 in – £175

Bowls: Approx Diameter 10 in / 9 in / 6 in – £225 & £275

Mugs: Mugs available in child/coffee size from £50
