V11 Mid-Century Modern vase in Breakwater £45

A classic shape from our Mid-century Modern archive reinvented for the 21st Century.

Featured here is our intricate hand-painted “Breakwater” decoration in shades of Black & London Stone. This is a re-imagined little known 1950s pattern that was originally inspired by the weathered wooden groynes on the local pebble beaches. We developed the decoration with renowned Margate gallery Turner Contemporary.

This striking sculptural & functional shape is just as stunning displaying flowers or finds as it is a standalone piece – no need to hide it away in a cupboard when it’s not in use.  It makes a dramatic Bud vase with a single stem.

Available in a host of different colourways , including new designs inspired by our archive  from the 1950s and 60s. The shape is Slipcast with liquid clay and then decorated using freehand brush work.

Large £80 and 31cm tall
Small £45 and 16.5cm tall.
