Our contemporary but playful Lion & Unicorn bookends have just been released in a brand new celebratory colourway – Flamingo Pink, Sun Yellow, Blue Green with touches of black.

Though both inspired by Tattoo Art, this new surface decoration has a quite different, more graphic feel than the original Blue Green colourway, which you can see if you click here. 

Painstakingly hand-made & hand-painted these bookends are a celebration of our talented team, not least with their intricate, freehand brushwork.

Designed by creative director Josh Cole, illustrator Laura Gill and sculptor Neal French, this modern interpretation of the Lion & Unicorn plays with themes from the eponymous children’s poem, contemorary culture and the heraldic figures on the Royal Coat of Arms.

Drawing on Rye Pottery’s renowned 1950’s Festival of Britain motifs, this embellished design would look stunning on any mantle or dresser.
